About us
Welcome to WInchester Textiles and Embroidery Group (WTEG), formerly known as Winchester Embroiderer's Guild which was founded in 1963. WTEG has retained an affiliation to the Embroiderer's Guild.
Our members enjoy getting together to hear speakers talk about all styles of embroidery, textiles and related subjects. We also hold workshops run by guest tutors and our own members. Competitions, challenges, projects and exhibitions form part of our programme. We embrace and promote all areas of textile and stitched art.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month apart from August at Fryern Pavilion/Fryern Community Centre, Greenways, Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh SO53 2LE
The doors open at 1.40pm and the meetings start at 2.00pm.
There is a library from which members can borrow books.
Current membership is valid until 30th September 2025.
The waiting list for new membership is currently closed.
Visitors are welcome at our meetings and have the opportunity to chat with members before the meeting and over tea and cake after the talk.
The entrance fee for a visitor is £10.00. A visitor can attend up to 3 meetings each year (October - September).
